22 years later
As an undergraduate student preparing to enter medical school I spent two of the best summers of my life working on humanitarian projects in Ghana. In April I had the privilege of returning to Ghana, twenty two years later as a surgeon on a medical mission organized by Ghana Make A Difference (GMAD). Over the course of 5 days, an amazing team of medical volunteers worked sun up to sundown in the newly opened GMAD surgical center to perform over 200 major surgical procedures.
